About the Lab

We develop innovative methods for designing and synthesizing organic molecules with unique structures, functions, and bioactivities—particularly those difficult to access by conventional approaches. Our focus is on creating new molecular transformation reactions to advance drug discovery and life science research.

We welcome those who are eager to take on the challenge of developing cutting-edge organic reactions and exploring new frontiers in research using novel molecules. Undergraduate students (3rd year) and graduate students who wish to join the Division of Reaction-Driven Drug Discovery Chemistry are encouraged to become part of our team and engage in advanced research.
